App means the mobile application Word Impostor: Play & Lie, a recreational party-style word game for iOS devices.
Developer (also we, us, or our) means Muhammet Umut TAŞAN, who determines the purposes and means of processing personal data described here (the data controller under applicable privacy laws).
This Privacy Policy describes how information may be processed when you download, access, or use the App. It does not restate the Terms of Use; where something is a contractual rule (for example, subscription cancellation steps), the Terms of Use apply.
We do not operate sign-in accounts inside the App for end users. We do not collect or store your payment card numbers or other full payment credentials; in-app purchases and the optional Monthly Premium subscription are handled by Apple through your Apple ID and Apple’s payment systems.
We do not intentionally collect precise GPS coordinates or continuous real-time location from your device for our own purposes. However, approximate region or coarse location (for example, derived from IP address or device/advertising settings) may be inferred or processed by us or by partners such as Google AdMob where ads are shown, for purposes such as ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and diagnostics, as described below.
Depending on how you use the App and which features are active, the following types of information may be collected automatically or generated in the course of providing the App:
We do not ask you to provide special categories of sensitive personal data through the App for these purposes.
The App may offer an optional auto-renewing Monthly Premium subscription. Purchase and renewal are processed by Apple (for example via StoreKit / the App Store). You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. The App may offer Restore Purchases so you can restore entitlements tied to your Apple ID on a supported device.
We do not receive your full payment credentials from Apple. We may receive or rely on limited purchase-related signals needed to provide premium access (for example, entitlement status on the device, subscription state, and transaction-related identifiers as made available by Apple’s APIs). Where the App displays advertisements, Google AdMob (and related Google services used in that context) may process data such as device and ad identifiers, IP address, coarse regional information, ad delivery and interaction data, diagnostic data, and signals used for measurement, personalization (where permitted), fraud prevention, and abuse detection.
Tracking and ad personalization: Depending on your iOS version and settings, Apple may present App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompts or equivalent controls. Where ATT or similar controls apply, personalized advertising may depend on your choices. If you do not grant relevant permissions, ads may still be shown but may be less personalized, where applicable. The App Store “App Privacy” / nutrition label disclosures you see for the App are selected to reflect the data types and uses applicable to that build; this Privacy Policy describes processing in general terms and may be updated if the App’s implementation changes.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, applicable data protection law may require a “legal basis” for processing. Depending on the activity, we may rely on bases such as: performance of a contract with you where processing is necessary to provide requested functionality; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the App (balanced against your rights); and consent where required (for example, for certain tracking or advertising choices presented on the device).
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, and data portability in appropriate cases. This Privacy Policy is informational and does not replace mandatory disclosures or agreements under Turkish law where those apply separately from the Terms of Use.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including: while the App is installed and used on your device (for data held locally or processed in connection with active use); for as long as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements; and for periods aligned with the legitimate needs of subscription validation and partner processing, consistent with this Policy and the privacy materials of partners such as Apple and Google where they act as independent controllers or processors.
When you uninstall the App, certain data stored only on your device is removed with the uninstall process, subject to device and operating-system behavior. Data held by third parties (for example, Apple or Google) is retained according to their policies and tools.
The App relies on services and infrastructure that may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including countries that may not be deemed to provide the same level of data protection by your local authorities. Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) may be used by service providers. You can learn more from Apple’s and Google’s privacy documentation.
We take reasonable organizational and technical measures designed to protect information appropriate to the nature of the App and the risks involved. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; where necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the Developer, or others; to investigate fraud or abuse; or with service providers and partners who assist in operating the App under confidentiality and processing terms consistent with this Policy. Third-party services such as Apple and Google process data under their own policies as well.
Where children under 13 use the App, the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian are required, consistent with our Terms of Use. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for the child’s use of the App. If you believe we have inadvertently received personal information from a child in a way that concerns you, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps in line with applicable law.
You can limit certain processing by adjusting your device settings (for example, privacy, advertising, and tracking settings on iOS). You can stop local processing tied to the App by uninstalling it, subject to data held independently by Apple, Google, or other partners.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be reflected here in line with the approach described in our Terms of Use. If you continue to use the App after updates take effect, you are deemed to accept the revised Privacy Policy, except where applicable law requires a different approach.
